Autonmity HoverJet

Introducing the Autonmity HoverJet drone, a revolutionary tool for combating wildfires. This highly patented, state-of-the-art drone was originally developed at the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) to support a wide range of high-priority special operations.

Autonmity has now adapted this robust platform specifically for fighting wildfires, by integrating our proprietary, patented AI technology.

Speed of response

Wildfire rapid response using all-terrain, all-weather drones with AI

Autonmity’s rapid-response hoverjet drones offer a crucial defense against the most challenging and risky scenarios. Our drones provide immediate, all-terrain, all-weather access, reaching nascent fires in remote or dangerous locations far quicker than ground crews.

Equipped with advanced AI, they can pinpoint hotspots and detect numerous hazards to deliver fire retardant with unmatched precision, enabling rapid containment before fires escalate. This ability to act decisively in the early stages directly safeguards property and communities.

Early detection is paramount in wildfire management, as time is the most critical factor in preventing a minor incident from escalating into a disaster. A fire caught in its early stages,  when it’s small and manageable, can often be suppressed with minimal response. This saves lives, protects vast swathes of land, and prevents billions in property damage and economic losses.

Cost savings

Disruptive transformation with 10 times cheaper wildfire containment

Autonmity is revolutionizing fire containment and suppression. Our rapid response hoverjet drones, equipped with advanced AI, offer unparalleled access to even the most challenging wildfire situations. They include vertical takeoff and landing capabilities, and operate and hover in all terrains and all weather conditions, enabling firefighters to strike precisely and swiftly against spreading blazes.

This capability dramatically improves firefighter efforts by allowing for quicker assessment, strategic intervention, and the precise delivery of resources where human access is risky or impossible, ultimately leading to reduced manpower costs and enhanced safety for crews  In short, Autonmity’s drones provide a 10x cost savings to better protect communities.

Autonmity’s integrated drone and AI system enables wildfire containment with 10x cost savings. Our system includes a dynamic, real-time operational hub. Critical data—heat signatures, flame progression, wind patterns—streams directly to your command center or field tablets. This tactical support empowers firefighters to make informed decisions swiftly, gaining a decisive advantage over rapidly evolving wildfires.

Quality of response

Enhancing wildfire response quality with aerial intelligence

Smart firefighting transforms emergency response by enabling faster, data-driven decisions in high-risk environments. With AI-enhanced drones and cloud-based coordination, responders gain real-time situational awareness, improving accuracy and safety.

Autonmity delivers cutting-edge firefighting drones with integrated wildfire AI, boosting emergency responsiveness through our modern SaaS platform. Our hoverjet drones, operating with real-time AI analysis from the cloud, can rapidly deploy to nascent fires, precisely identify hotspots, and strategically apply retardants or gather critical intelligence.

Our AI, the system’s brain, analyzes real-time data to predict fire behavior and optimize suppression. It uses computer vision to identify a range of visual signatures, enabling better operational decisions. The AI-powered hoverjet drones rapidly target nascent fires, applying retardants precisely. This speed prevents massive, costly infernos, drastically reducing costs.

Your team will be fully trained and qualified for operations

Online Ground School

Mastering the Hoverjet

Mastering the Hoverjet

Achieving FAA Part 107 certification, required for operating our drones, is a streamlined process with Autonmity. Our training package includes online ground school, covering all the material needed to confidently pass the FAA Part 107 knowledge written exam. Once your team successfully passes this exam, Autonmity takes care of filing the application for their official FAA Remote Pilot License.

After earning their remote pilot license, your team undergoes a week of intensive, in-person flight training for the HoverJet Drone. This vertical lift delta-wing aircraft quickly transitions to over 300 mph, making it ideal for emergencies. The XVH-100 HoverJet also boasts a triple-redundant communication package and is amphibious (air-sea-land), allowing deployment in any environment and performance at high altitudes. Pilots receive up to 10 hours of simulation and over 2 hours of real-time, instructor-guided flight.

Mission Exercises

Mission Exercises

Autonmity hosts invitation-only mission exercises to foster collaboration and teamwork. These vital events allow us to rigorously test product improvements in realistic scenarios. Crucially, we also solicit direct input from firefighters, ensuring our future research and development precisely addresses their evolving challenges and operational needs.

Initially, Autonmity’s experts will remotely pilot the drones for your department. This continues until your in-house pilots are fully trained and licensed, earning their FAA Part 107 certifications to become certified drone response pilots. This allows Autonmity’s experts to serve as Pilot In Command (PIC) as needed, removing barriers for quick adoption and real-world deployments.

Accelerate containment and suppression with AI

AI saves time and manpower

Autonmity is revolutionizing fire containment and suppression. Our rapid response hoverjet drones, equipped with advanced AI, have sensors that feed live data to our AI cloud.  The AI can pinpoint hotspots, monitor trends, detect hazards and deliver fire retardant with unmatched precision, enabling rapid containment before fires escalate. This ability to act decisively in the early stages accelerates containment & suppression by doing the right actions in an optimal order.  This directly safeguards property and communities.  Mission success can be completed in hours not days.

Autonmity Concept of Operations [ConOps]

1. Detection and Mission Support

Upon fire detection, the Commander contacts Autonmity. Our AI immediately recommends flight routes and retardant drop points based on real-time factors. Autonmity’s team handles FAA filings and drone launches. Fire Station personnel then review and approve the AI’s plan before taking control at the staging area.

2. Preflight Ops

Autonmity offers up to two hours of remote preflight support, aiding the client’s Pilot In Command (PIC) with readiness, checklists, and flight plan validation. We handle FAA filings, launch the aircraft, and fly it to the fire staging area. The drone and equipment are stored near the PIC’s Firehouse.

3. Sortie Flight Ops

After launch, Autonmity provides the PIC with suggested firefighting approaches and drop points, which the PIC confirms or modifies. At the fire staging area, the PIC takes control and deploys the payload. Throughout the one-hour sortie, Autonmity’s mission support team remotely monitors drone activities with AI assistance.

4. Real-Time AI Analysis and Alerts

During flight, the cloud-based portal delivers AI-based visual inspection for the detection of relevant characteristics and anomalies, providing real-time analysis, recommendations, and alerts. This analysis is also available as part of after-action reports, and all data can, in fact, be re-analyzed as needed.

5. Post Flight Ops

After landing, the PIC conducts a post-flight inspection, refuels, and reloads for the next sortie. For minor in-flight damage, Autonmity provides a service technician for guided repairs. If repairs exceed the PIC’s capability, Autonmity dispatches a certified mobile aircraft technician.

6. Recovery and Restart

Following missions, Autonmity works with the PIC to recover the drone, ensuring it’s mission-ready for the next sortie in just 5 minutes. This efficiency means that typically only two aircraft are needed per wildfire. Autonmity supplies enough JP5 fuel and Posh-chk retardant for 24 hours of continuous sorties (48 flights), with clients storing the initial supply and Autonmity handling all resupply.

7. After-Action AI Analysis and Reports

Autonmity will provide a commented final report auto generated from the mission’s real-time AI analysis and other records. Autonmity’s ops staff provides additional commentary, which includes personal observations and applicable lessons for future missions.

Pricing
